In this day and age of modern technology and especially with the advent of the internet and search engines like Google, the role of the teacher has changed, whether they know it, or like it, or not.
My kids love to play, seriously, the LOVE to play. But then again, which kid doesn't? Play is said to be one of the cornerstones of a child’s development. If we watch our kids play, we can see that they aren’t limited by what’s in front of them. Their only limit is what their imagination permits. To them, even the sky isn’t the limit.
I've had a lot of people ask me to write a blog to share some of my experiences in work and in life. OK, so 3 people... and my 2 kids count! Usually, I don't like being in the limelight, but that's the beauty of the internet, isn't it? I sit behind a screen and say what I want and in a way, I'm saying it to myself, it just so happens that a whole load of other people can potentially see it.
